Meet Taylor
As a Paraplanner at Collective Advisors, Taylor Simpson is passionate about helping clients build confidence in their financial futures. She believes financial planning should be accessible and understandable and enjoys supporting advisors in developing personalized strategies that help clients achieve their goals through every stage of life. Taylor is especially passionate about financial literacy and strives to make complex financial topics approachable so clients feel informed, empowered, and confident in their financial decisions.
Taylor earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in both Finance and Personal Financial Planning from the University of Colorado Boulder’s Leeds School of Business. During her undergraduate studies, she gained valuable hands-on experience as a Financial Planning Intern with Young Global Wealth Strategies in Boulder, Colorado, where she gained a deeper understanding of the financial planning process and client service. In April 2025, she was selected to compete in the Colorado Financial Planning Association’s inaugural financial planning competition, where the University of Colorado team earned first place. She later completed her final season of NCAA Division I volleyball at the University of Washington while earning a Master of Science in Real Estate.
During her collegiate athletic career, Taylor was a two-year team captain for the University of Colorado women’s volleyball team and received numerous Dean’s List and All-Conference honors. Her experience as a student-athlete developed leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills that continue to shape her approach to financial planning. Originally from Southern California, she relocated to Austin because of its strong sense of community and vibrant network of young professionals, making it the ideal place to begin her career and build meaningful relationships.
Outside of work, Taylor enjoys staying active by walking, working out, and spending time outdoors, especially near the ocean or a lake. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring Austin, and giving back to the volleyball community by coaching and mentoring young athletes who aspire to compete at the collegiate level.
